About

The Wagga Alpine Ski Club was formed in 1959 by keen skiers from the Wagga Wagga and surrounding region. Our first lodge was built over the summer of 1961/62; it was completed in time for the 1962 ski season. Since 1962 the lodge has been renovated and rebuilt many times, the latest rebuild was completed for the 2020 Ski season. The new Lodge is now a modern 1,122 m2 building built to commercial standards and provides much enjoyment for our 200 members. Our lodge is situated at 11 Sitzmark Street, Falls Creek, it has a prized ski in ski out location. The lodge is for exclusive use of members and their accompanying guests, bookings can only be made by members. Current membership is full and the waiting list is closed.

Getting to the lodge

With the lodge located in the Falls Creek Village there is no access to the lodge by car during the ski season. Access is usually gained by dropping off luggage and people at the ATS (Oversnow transport) and then getting transported to the lodge for a fee, the driver of any car will be directed to car park and returned to ATS. For those who are fit and energetic it is possible to walk to lodge, it is only 500 meters and in dry weather with no snow on ground it is an 5-10-minute walk. But in peak ski season when the road is covered in snow it is a more difficult, particularly with luggage and skis or snow boards.  Alternatively, you can park your car at Mt Beauty and catch a bus (both with fee) to Falls Creek where they drop you off at ATS.
